1.    Do you photograph groups and/or formals?

I love photographing naturally occurring groups, however I will pose casual groups if my clients would like this. I love to create un-posed images that would not be considered traditional formals but are natural, romantic, and ones that show off people's personalities and relationships. I love watching people and waiting for that moment that shows what they are thinking or feeling.

2.
What if I want some formals or lots of posed images too?

For my clients who want many formals and/or group photography, I offer the option of adding a traditional photographer to create some of those groups while I continue to photograph the wedding in my un-posed style. We will discuss this option in full should you decide to add this on. We will need to talk about those formal images before your wedding day so that we make sure that we have adequate time to create what you'd like.

3.
How many photographs do you take?

For full day coverage, I typically will photograph a minimum of 500 images. This will depend on the size of the wedding party, the number of guests, etc...If you add the option of having a traditional photographer come with me, then a full day's coverage would include a minimum of 700 images depending on the wedding day variables.

Half day coverage would be approximately half of the above answers. (makes sense!)

4.
Can we meet beforehand to discuss what is going to happen in the day?

Absolutely! It's very important to me that we meet right away so we can discuss many aspects of your wedding day and your style. We will talk about your wedding day and the details of it that you know thus far. We can also create a customized wedding package for you. We will have lots to talk about and learn!

5.
When do you begin photographing on my wedding day and when do you end?

I will begin photographing well before your ceremony! One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is the excitement and anticipation that occurs as the bride steps into her gown and puts her jewelry on. I will be part of this "preparation" time, so will work out a schedule with you based on your ceremony time and travel distance to that site. After these images, I will photograph the ceremony and reception until after the formalities are completed and I have lots of reception/dance/party images! If you have a special end to the night, we can discuss my staying until the very end.

6.
I want my wedding to be environmentally friendly. How can you help this?

I can help in many ways! I am always guiding my company to be more green every day. Not only do I practice this behind the scenes, such as in my everyday business practices, but also directly to my clients in the form of products. I offer soy-based ink prints from an eco-friendly company. I offer vegan wedding albums and natural covers in very cool options that are very unique and beautiful! I also offer recyclable products versus disposables, such as reusable flash drives instead of CDs or DVDs. I take part in a zero-carbon program to offset that which I cannot change or are in the process of improving. I can offer you these products and also use my research to discuss ideas to help make your wedding more eco-friendly!

Good for you for asking!

7.
How soon after the wedding will I see my photos?

You will see your images no later than three weeks after your wedding day.

8.
Do you bring another photographer or an assistant?

I do bring an assistant with me. This helps me immensely and allows me to photograph freely and in the way I love! I will only bring another photographer with me if we've discussed it or if this was added onto your package by wanting a "traditional photographer add on."

9.
Can I create my own package different from the choices on your "packages" page?

Yes! I'd love for you to have a customized package that fit your needs and budget perfectly! I am happy to create this with you. We will do this in person, but you can use this online feature as a tool for our discussion:

Create a package!

10.   How do I reserve my wedding date with you?

Email me at
candiwolley@gmail.com to reserve your date. Your first retainer will hold the date and I will no longer see other clients for your wedding date. The retainer will be based on your package and we can discuss that upon creating a contract and reserving your date officially.

11.   Do I have to have a wedding album?

No. Our customized packages allow you to create what you are looking for. Many couples want a professionally designed and created album. I can offer that within the package or separate of the package after the wedding day, so you have a lot of flexibility in choosing what you'd like.

12.
What am I required to do for my album design?

You can be as involved or uninvolved as you'd like with your album design! All you'd be required to do is choose your favorite images from the wedding day. I will do the rest! If you are into graphic design and want to be involved, I'd be happy to work with you on the perfecting of your album.

13.
   Who are your typical clients?

My clients are people who want a unique wedding that is less traditional and perhaps even more eco-friendly than most. They may have a church wedding, a backyard wedding, or a ballroom wedding but find ways to make it exactly fitting to their personalities. It's very fun to be part of these couples' lives!

14.
Do you ever get bored of photographing weddings?

I photograph so many weddings that I get asked this a lot! I have never been tired of weddings as I do absolutely love them. I am excited for them, I commit everything to them, and I find it an honor to be involved in such a meaningful and intimate occasion. I love being there and seeing relationships and emotions through my lens. I especially love sharing that with my clients after their wedding day!

15.
How are you an eco-friendly company?

I made the commitment in my business and personal life to always strive towards being more conscious of protecting and preserving the environment. I research and work with green-suppliers. I offer vegan products such as album covers and folios. Zero-Carbon organizations help me offset carbon dioxide emissions in my traveling and shipping products. I am vegan which is a lifestyle that reduces not only animal suffering but also carefully considers our impact on health and the environment.

I am always looking to improve my life and business to make sure I am not adding to suffering of animals, people, and the environment. I'm sure to learn more and grow as a more eco-friendly business every day. If you have any resources or ideas on this, I'd love to hear! I've learned a lot from my clients and friends and enjoy finding out how we can do better.

16.
Do we get to see all of the photos you take or do you limit what we see?

Yes, you will see all of the images I created of your wedding day aside from any where people are blinking or anything unflattering. I do not limit the amount of images I take to a specific number, as each wedding is different. You'll see it all, aside from those blinks! :)
